I don't know what everyone else thinks and would agree with this but is there a point to Music channels like Viva, VH1, the box these days as it is easier to watch Music Videos on Youtube as all you can easily find the music video that you want to watch as well as watching the same music video meany times and whenever you want

Good point, but I think with a music channel a song might come on that you might never have thought of listening to or a different type of music or just to know what the popular music is.. :P

I'd say more I question the point in there being as many music channels as there are nowadays.

I don't know about many of the other channels, but Kerrang, Scuzz and MTV Rock are basically interchangable at this point.

Music channels should focus more on showing documentaries & live performances imo. There is a load of stuff I'd like to see that isn't available on the internet.

VH1 used to do some great music docs years ago. Not sure what it's like now.

Yes, there is, indeed, a point to music channels these days.... ...well, that is, if you enjoy being subjected to the torture of pretentious presenters and music that's censored to buggery. I am by no means fond of the songs they air on music channels, but the censorship employed - particularly by 4Music - is even worse.

I had the misfortune of bearing witness to 4Music's atrocious censorship methods whilst at a leisure centre at Butlin's a year ago. I was minding my own business, when suddenly, from the television blares, "We be popping like aaaaaa-yo, all my SEHCTIB got real hair chilling with their top down, screaming like aaaaaa-yo. I'mma take her SSA down when she bring her friend around, HTOB ME' KCUF like aaaaaa-yo. I'm a boogie AGGIN SSA, left the roof at home..."

Not fun, I can tell you first-hand. For the masochists out there, you are able to witness their ludicrous and inanely amateurish censorship methods.

    I shall say no more.
