Hi, I plan on applying to reading to study biomed, my predicted grades are ABB in biology, chemistry and maths. I messed my AS grades up and am worrying I will do the same during my A2s. Does anyone know how lenient the biological science courses are? Thank you

    Hi bcmp17,
Intake for Life Sciences has been in demand in recent years and as a result the University are investing £55m in new facilities to consolidate the labs that are currently dotted around campus, therefore at present it is challenging to predict how lenient they are going to be.

The university factors all elements of your UCAS application which includes your predicted grades but also your personal statement and teacher references. Admissions do look at applications on a case-by-case basis, so would encourage you to ensure particularly your personal statement is well written to increase your chances of getting an offer.

    I hope this helps
