Never have. Probably never would. But you can never say until you're in that situation.

if they liked me back, then yes, in a heartbeat. I usually try and build up a friendship of sorts first (which can backfire quite horrifically) so I can get to know them better though.

Reply 3

Yeah I would in the future. Why not.

Reply 4

People online are real people, you know.

Reply 5

Yes, I have done so and will continue to do so.

Reply 6

Yeah I would. Come on ladies PM me :p:! (Joke)...

....but seriously :p:

(no, I'm actually joking!)

don't be silly, the internet isn't real life.

I don't really want to meet people on the internet, there are plenty of people who I can see face to face that I like.

Nope.
Firstly because I have a boyfriend (who I did not meet on the internet by the way)
Secondly because its incredibly easy to create an entirely different persona online, and its easy to make things which are complete lies sound or appear convincing. In short, id never trust what I was being told, so would never meet the person, and hense never form a relationship with them.

nawp, i know one guy who came up with 5 identities and now he's in real trouble cos he promised girls all sorts.

I met my sort-of-boyfriend online four years ago. So I voted "yes".

Reply 11

Yeup, met my boyfriend of 2 years online. Don't see anything wrong with it, you can meet some very genuine and nice people just the same as you can meet fakes.

Reply 12

I don't know, but I do love spontaneity

Reply 13

I'm fully aware that people online are real people, but I just wouldn't do it. I meet enough people in real life that I'd never consider turning anything online into anything else.
I'm sure it works for some people, though, and I'm not in any way dissing them.

Do you date people you meet online?

I have done so, and as it ends up it's been my most successful relationship to date.

Reply 15

Yes i would, and if all goes according to plan, i might get to soon.

Reply 16

Yep, met boyfriend of 14 months on the internet.
Long distance too though.
Yowch.
Nothing wrong with it in my opinion, just the changing way of the world...

I met my fiance online, as indeed I did with all my previous partners, it has been difficult for me to meet people IRL, work was a bust, and clubs never brought me together with anyone I liked. So I tried the net, and I met lots of people, some genuine and lovely, and some very very weird, but thats life, I've met a lot of weirdoes out on the streets, at least online I can block them!

Reply 18

i have and would do again

but definately not long distance

the problem of the internet is that it opens your horizons to new people that you'd probably never meet on the street, but then, they live so far away and its awful

Most of the guys I've been with I've met online. My 'problem' with guys online is that I get attached really really quickly which I know will probably get me into trouble sometime.

I met a guy online 2 weeks ago when I was back in uni for a week and I liked him so much, I cancelled my flight home and stayed with him for a week  (I know if someone else did that I'd probably be shocked and think they'd end up dead in a ditch somewhere but thats not the point!) I always find ppl online the same when I meet them.
