So I'm writing my pharmacy personal statement atm, and I've encountered a stumbling block.
A lot of my further reading is by Dr Ben Goldacre. His books often dissect how various pharmaceutical companies are cutting corners with their research, often only reaching the bare minimum requirements to get a product onto shelves. Would Universities view me unfavorably if include him, considering he's such a critic of the topic? Thanks in advance!

He's not criticising anything about the study of pharmacy, what he's criticising is corporate and academic malpractice (which I'm sure a lot of academics are unhappy about too) so I don't think that's an issue. His book didn't strike me as making any hugely controversial statements (amongst reasonable people, anyway).
