Basically I went to the orthodontist to get an X-ray of my teeth before I install my braces. They found out that I have a tooth hidden down in my gums that may need to be removed beforehand. The odd thing is that this tooth has one single root, but two fully developed heads coming out of it. The best way I can describe how it looks (because I cant find anything like it on google images) is like a cauliflower floret where the top fluffy part has been divided, but the narrow white stalk is still in tact.

It certainly won't be the first time it's happened to anyone, but I can't speak about how common it is. Your dentist should be able to give an indication though

My brother had to go under anaesthetic to have it removed, it wasnt a serious problem but because he wanted braces it was recommended to have it removed.
