    I wonder what would happen on the Pacific tectonic plate since that's all oceanic. :holmes:

    Average Weight of a human = 60 kg.
    Average height of jump = 0.2m.
    GPE = mgh = 120 joule (g appprox. 10 m/s^2)
    population = 7 B (approx)

    Total energy = 7X10^9 X 120 = 8.4 X 10 ^ 11 joule.
    Surface area of earth = 5.1X10^14 m^2

    per each 1 m^2 area the energy released = 1.6 X 10 ^-3 Joule i.e not even a small earthquake.

    pretty much nothing would happen in terms of moving the Earth or earthquake wise.

    our number is simply tiny in comparison to the entire Earth.
