Hi
I've been researching apprenticeships for when I leave Sixth Form because I'm not too keen on £50000~ of debt, but I can't really find any Level 4 ones? Is this because they aren't too well advertised, or are they simply in short supply.
Failing that, is doing a Level 3 apprenticeship with good A Levels a complete waste of time, or is a decent option
Thanks

I would never consider doing anything lower than what I've already achieved. But it could be that your Level 3 apprenticeship will result in more training towards a professional qualification and a permanent job landing you in a better position than going to university...you have to treat everything on a case by case basis.

You are right there are less advanced i.e. level 4+ apprenticeships being advertised but there are a least a few to look at. It's also worth looking at those companies paying for you to do a degree.

If you cant get anywhere with a level 4 apprenticeship, then a level 3 one would be fine. I know several people who did level 3 apprenticeships after a-levels.

Note as well that the level reflects the work you'll be doing. I did my a levels then went into an apprenticeship and did a level 3 because it fit in with my work as admin assistant. Now because I have a year left I am doing a level 4 but my work has to change so that I can actually complete the NVQ. Just something to bear in mind. A job for a business admin apprenticeship level 4 would be executive assitant/supervisor/managerial
