Am I being unrealistic in my application?

    Hi,

I really want to apply for natural sciences at uni, as I love the broad nature of the course, but i am unsure if I'm going to get in based on the competitiveness.

The unis I am looking at are Exeter, Bath, Nottingham, Southampton, York, and I would say Durham but I don't know if that is realistic. Cambridge isn't possibility (deadline too soon now and I don't think I would get in anyway).

Is there any advice on choosing an insurance option as well / honest opinions on the course?

Predictions for A level need to be A*AA/AAA I think, and then Durham said something about needing A*A*A if wanting to have chemistry as part of the course.

I am predicted A*AA, in maths bio and Chem for A levels.
However at AS I got AABB (maths Chem bio physics). I was 1 mark off an A in bio.
    I got 7A* 5A for my GCSEs.

    Please help! Thanks 😊 x

I don't think you're being ridiculously unrealistic, but I would recommend that you replace at least one of those choices with a course that has a lower standard offer. It's likely that any offers you get from those universities will be A*AA which means you'd need to do better at A2 than you did at AS - which is totally possible, but it's not necessarily something you can count on.
