Best tattoo place in London

I'm looking for your recommendations here!

I'd like a word in Hebrew on my upper right arm. I went into the place where I get my piercings - Eclipse in Camden - as they do tattoos, and they told me it'd be £50, their minimum charge for a tattoo. I'm not too bothered about price, but I'm worried they might not be as good with tattoos as their piercings. Obviously, I don't want to mess the tattoo up in the slightest, so I'm looking around.

So, where did you have your tattoos in London? What did you have and what was the cost? More importantly, how did the tattoo come out - pleased with it?

All help appreciated. Thanks!

I got fairly overcharged at Evil from the Needle in Camden (my tattoo was really small but still cost £50) - but they're really famous and really know what they're doing and it was the memory of the time and place I was paying for, not just the tattoo itself. Like Johnny Depp says, a tattooed body is like a journal or diary. I really wanted my first tattoo to be from Evil from the Needle.

Anyway, 100% good tattoo experience with them so I'd recommend it. Two of my friends have had tattoos there too.

Have you looked at Eclipse's portfolio? That'd be a good start to find out whether they're any good, haha.

Also, check about a million times that the word you have is correctly translated. Don't want to end up on anything like Hanzi Smatter now :P

Into You have a good reputation, don't know where they are or anything though.
Apparently cold steel are really good. http://www.coldsteel.co.uk/frames.html
Coldsteel are a piercers, not tattooists.

It's okay  I speak Hebrew, so I know it's alright!

Bump.

Anyone know anywhere else?
I second Frith Street. Know quite a few people who've had tattoos done there and they're amazing.

Eclipse aren't great for tattoos from what I've seen.

This is the place to go.

I know the guy that just left them to go and work in New York (at one of the best studios in the world) and he has the most amazing (mostly self-done) tattoos ive ever seen. For him to work for them, they must be outstanding.

cost is something to put aside - the quality of the tattoo should always take priority! (not all studios have a minimum charge, mine was £30, but then i got it done in Norwich!)
I have the same problem, I am looking to get a Hebrew tattoo but don't know where to go! Where did you go in the end Brimstone? What did you get, I am thinking of אין כמו אמא and/or אמ אים אני לי מי לי. What do you think of these as phrases being a fellow hebrew speaker?

אין כמו אמא
There's no one like mama

אני לי מי לי אמ אים
not written properly and should be :
אם אין אני לי מי לי
and it means if you dont care of yourself then who will?

I wouldn't tattoo them.

I'd recommend Evil From The Needle too. For international respect and being well-known for quality tattooing, I don't know any better than them in London.

This. All day long..

London is a big place but if there's one shop that stands out, both from word of mouth and constant mentions in tattoo magazines etc then it's Evil From The Needle.

Hey there,

Im looking to get my first tattoo and its a verse from the bible and was looking to get it written in Hebrew. Anyone know where I can get a proper translation? Im a bit sceptical to use an online translation cause its practically going to be tattoo forever. =) Dont want to get it wrong. Would appreciate any advice.
