I want to work abroad in the future, does that mean i should definitely take ib?

    • Thread Starter

I'm currently in year 11 and i have been asked to choose my a-level or ib options but i don't know whether i want to do IB or A-level.
In the future i would like to go to University in the UK but after that I would like to work for an international company or be able to work abroad.
Do employers prefer IB over A Levels in this case because i thought that by the time i have my degree in whatever i do it will not matter that much.

Employers really don't care what option you took in secondary school, especially since A-levels an IB are at a relatively similar academic standard. They will look more towards your performance and choices in Uni. If you're not looking to study abroad, then A-levels are a safer bet than IB.

However, if you seek to work abroad later on, studying abroad will greatly increase your chances, and IB is definitely a better choice for that.
