I am planning to resit all my core subjects so I can go to college next year and do my a levels as I missed these 2 years. How do I resit them and how exactly do I study for them seeing as I am not at school or college?

You need to find a school or college that is willing to let you sit exams as a private candidate. Private colleges often do it as a well organised service. Prices vary enormously and you could find it very expensive. I can be especially hard and expensive to sort out if any of your subjects include assessed course work or practical exams.
There is advice for private candidates on all of the examiner web sites.

If you don't have a C in either English or maths, then colleges and adult learning centres offer free part time courses to help you achieve them, you may have left it too late for this year however as courses typically start in September.
You need to be aware that GCSE are going through a period of change and reform. There are new specifications for maths and English being tested this summer. Many other subjects will change in summer 2018. This means you need to select books and other resources that will match.

You can study for them either with text books or revision guides (such as the CGP ones mentioned already) and there are good online resources for many subjects. Ask for specific suggestions when you know what subjects you will take. If you don't think you can succeed on your own, you can buy distance learning courses (on line or on paper) that come with some tutor support. Or you can find a local personal tutor (£30+ an hour usually)
