I'm applying to medicine soon, but does anyone think I have a good chance of acceptance with my GCSEs? Are there any medical schools that are more likely to accept me?

You'll have to apply tactically. Look at universities' selection procedures to see whether it's worth applying. If you have a great UKCAT, you could consider places such as Newcastle which don't look at academics provided that you've met their requirements.

Avoid GCSE-heavy universities like Oxford, Birmingham and Cardiff etc.

Yh you can still apply to medical universites. Just don't apply for ones that are gcse heavy like Cardiff or Birmingham. Your results met the minimum requirements for most uni's so you are fine.

As long as the A*/A is in English and Chemistry you should be fine to GCSE 'light' universities (eg. not Cardiff or Birmingham). Be sure to do well in the UKCAT or BMAT and you should have a decent application although the B in Maths doesn't help. What were your AS grades? Doing well in the AS is also important, strong AS grades will help (AAAA/AAAB).
