I'd like to study Politics at university. Could anyone give me some advice on what work experience etc universities would like in this area? Also would becoming a member of the Conservative party be a good idea?Thank you.

    Definitely not.
I know people applying for politics and they have been part of student parliaments/debating clubs which is probably a better use of time than making tea for a snob - sorry, politician.
