opinions- mate problems

please keep this annoymous as i know people on here that i dont want to know i'm posting this.

Anyway it was my mates birthday (18th) and she invited me to do something and anyway she told me that she would be going clubbing on her birthday a few days before the actual day and i said yes. well ive never been clubbing and hadnt seen her in ages. She said i would have to meet her up at the place as she had to go somewhere first. Anyway later in the after after i had txt her quite a bit to try and find out times etc she said about 11.15..she had previously told me about 10..

i didnt know what to do, as it was really late and i didnt have much money and couldnt really travel there to meet her as i didnt want to on my own.If it has been earlier i could have got a lift of someone. My parents were going on at me abit saying they didnt really want me to go and it was abit late even though i'm 18. So i text my mate and said i didnt think i was going to come as it was really late and didnt have any way of getting there, that i was very sorry and that i would love to see her soon though and have a nice night.

well she didnt reply to that message and i sent her one the next day saying sorry again. Because i felt really bad about not going. But she seems to be ignoring me. I feel really bad for not going. Do you think what i did was really wrong? :redface:

not really - as long as she knows that the reason you didnt meet her is because you couldnt get transport there.

have you seen / spoken to her at all since?
