Spanish for medicine Watch

    Hey guys, I want to study medicine but I want to ask if I can do it with biology, chemistry and spanish given that I have lived in Spain and have got Spanish nationality but Spanish is not my native language, I don't speak it at home, I also did maths at As but I am thinking about dropping it,shall I drop maths or Spanish??

    Just do chemistry, maths, biology and Spanish as fourth a level

    I would say just drop the maths, and take Spanish instead as it is a wonderfully interesting subject. I also have a friend doing Spanish, Biology and Chemistry who want to go on to do medicine at university so these options are perfectly fine and I wouldn't say that you definitely need maths as Chemistry is a mathematical subject. Enjoy =)

    But i have spanish nationality ,and i have studied there for like 4 years,would they reject my application just because its kind of my native language?

    As you've lived there for four years the A level probably wouldn't be too difficult for you so you may as well do it as an extra and have four. My friend did Maths, Chem, Bio and Spanish last year and is now doing medicine at cambridge.

    The only way to know for sure on that one is to ask admissions for the unis themselves - some might accept it, some might not. If some places are happy to take you, then you're golden. If not, you may have to continue with maths.
