Side projects opportunity for Computer Science students

Would you like to work on interesting “side projects” with users from day one that you can add to your portfolio/CV, AND have a reference from a respected organisation to go with it?

I’ve been doing my MBA dissertation with small to medium third sector enterprises and have been surprised by the ongoing use of emails, Excel/Word and good old pen and paper to do tasks that in this day in age should really be automated by software.

There are many reasons why this is still the case, including a lack of technical aptitude and simply “you don’t know what you don’t know”. In some instances, commercial options are available but are either too expensive or have burdensome additional features that they simply do not need.

I would like to ask the Computer Science students on this forum if they would like to join me in helping these organisations by building simple bespoke web applications that can simplify their workflow while giving you an interesting “side project” to add to your portfolio, at the same time being able to add them as a credible reference to your CV.

Please PM me if this is something you would be interested in, or email me: *MOD NOTE: EMAIL REMOVED*

    Thanks :-)
