UKL Politics Society (UKL PolSoc)

Hey,
Just found that there is no politics society and am appalled! So I'm setting this one up! We can debate local, national and international politics or help people with their Government and Politics A levels!

If your looking for fiery debates or interesting political conversation. If you a secret watcher of Question Time, Newsnight or The Politics Show then this is the group for you!

If you want to join either PM me or add a post one here saying you want to join!

Happy Posting

It's OK, he's at Sheffield too. Thought you might have seen him on one of his illegal raves.

Moderately towards the left I'd say.

Lefty for me

I think that I lean slightly towards the right. But with politics in the state it is everything is slowly moving towards central!

I don't like the state of politics at the moment because no one really has any political integrity. Its disgusting that old labour backbenchers will vote for Foundation Hospitals when they kicked up such a fuss when the Conservatives suggested them. People should vote with their heart and morality. Not just for their alliance to the leader of their party.

I don't think many peope have for a really long team. Most people just seem to be in it for the power.

I don't like the state of politics at the moment because there's nobody I want to vote for. I don't want to vote for Blair, I sure as hell don't want to vote for Howard, and Kennedy doesn't seem a lot better than either of them.

If I could vote I'd vote Howard. Coz his Cheshire-Cat grin makes me laugh at every PMs Questions.

Not Tony becasue I HATE him!

Not Kennedy becasue you never hear about him, and they said that IDS was the quiet man.

Howard is just creepy. I used to be a Blair fan, but I've gone right off him these last 18 month or so.

I guess I'll just end up voting Labour cause I've met my local MP a few times, and he's an alright kind of guy. He'll win anyway, I live in that kind of area.

Same here! Our local politics is awful! We have two mayors. A mansion house office for our civic mayor; and an office above a bank for our other mayor. Fat Cat wages for the council. Two people as head of the council as opposed to the normal one.

And worst of all they spend our money on crap- we have four brains on sticks outside our mansion house costing a meagre £750,000. Its nice to see that our council tax is well spent - what more could we expect from labour and Tony's Cronies?
