Mr Blair should give some new people a chance! Tony’s Cronies never change and we aren't seeing any new talent in politics.

hey guys can I join?

I was wondering how many people are members of political parties?

I'm secretary of the Conservative Future branch at Sheffield Uni. Were it not for my parlous financial state and lack of a job, I'd be attending the party conference in the Autumn. :frown:
I'll join as well. I have just finished my G&P A-Level and will hopefully go to LSE next autumn to study Government.

Any chance we could start a list of people going to do PoliSci at Uni?

It's on its way as we speak!
Isn't it funny how both tories and Labour unite in their dislike/hatred (delete as appropriate) of A. C. L. Blair?

I'd like to join please!

I'm doing AS Govt and Politics by distance learning so could use some support.

I'm kinda left leaning, but not massively so. I vote Lib Dem.

Has anyone tried the Political Compass by the way? www.politicalcompass.org
It's very entertaining and quite helpful.

I've tried it  I'll look out my results later.
well my results of the political compass are in:

Economic Left/right-1.00
Social Libertarian/authoritarian:0.77

which puts me in the left but pretty much in the center of the graph...although slightly nearer to Authoritarian..
I am right-wing and liberal according to that scale, although I'm not a Tory (I hasten to add!)

Economic Left/Right: -8.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.90

Probably reasonably accurate. I'm certainly a leftie, and I would say liberal, but not too liberal as I think when people have a choice they often make a choice that adversely affects others.
Economic Left/Right: -7.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.72

Quite the little radical aren't you?

I forgot to post my results...

Economic Left/Right: -2.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.85

To be expected really - I'm not surprised!

Although I do feel like I want more questions in the quiz... does anyone else feel like that?

One of my friends saw Charles Kennedy smoking outside the Houses of Parliament at the same time as him (he was on work expeirience)

I think the Lib Dems have their hearts in the right place, but I'm not sure how they'd manage in government. Still, maybe we should give them a chance, can't be much worse than the other two surely?

My friend blagged a light off him at a reception once. She was so star struck it was hysterical.

I quite like Charlie - he's very down to earth, really funny and seems quite honest and thoughtful. He wrote a good book called something like "The Future of Politics". I joined the Lib Dems after reading it.

I like to think so.

But don't worry, I will grow out of it when I'm a grown up.

Can I join please? I'm doing A level politics and have just completed AS, and....

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -1.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.77

Which makes me just left of centre, which is nice. Although I thought I'd be slightly to the right, which is strange.
