How high did you climb on Gold DofE?

    • Thread Starter

Basically on the first day of my gold expedition, my group have planned to gain 1100m over 21km, which seems like an awful lot.
We are doing in the Lake District next week.
I'm moderately fit, but I did find our practise (in the Peaks) challenging and we only had (maximum) 700m height gain in one day.
I'm very concerned about the climb. For me, it's sort of do-able but I think I'll be shattered by the second day.

Please can someone give me some insight into how high you climbed on your Gold DofE expeditions- thanks
