My friend is the type of person who cuts people off just because they do something she does not agree with or when things don't go her way. She has recently done this to me for the first time. Whilst I don't chase people I don't get why she would just cut me off. How is the best way to deal with this? I find it childish and immature.

What has this got to do with blackmail?

As you say it's childish. The best way to deal with it is to move on with your life. Do you really want someone like that in your life in the first place?

I think I meant with blackmail she wants me to beg and lose respect for myself and chase her which I refuse to do.

Doesn't really sound like blackmail. Perhaps manipulative, however, if what you suggest about her wanting you to chase is true.

But it sounds like she is just choosy.

That's not blackmail in the slightest but regardless what I said before is the same. There is a word for what you describe but I can't think of it off hand at the moment.

This person is a negative influence and you do not want them in your life. You are not losing anything by cutting off contact with them.
