    Hi,
I started Uni exactly a week ago now and I'm just not gelling with the people I've been put with. It's not that they're unpleasant, they're all really nice but they're very confident, extroverted and share a lot in common. During Freshers week they've already become very close as a group of 11. I feel like the odd one out, pretty excluded. Do universities usually allow people to change halls/houses? Because it would suck to have to live with people I don't get on well with for an entire year if there's the option to be around people I have much more in common with.

Most universities will allow you to put your name on the list to swap if a room becomes available, however there is no guarentee you will have more in common with your new flatmates. Best thing in your situation is to start joining societies and talking more to coursemates.

tihs... bear in mind there are always reasons people want to leave their flat, occasionally these are people who are loud and extroverted in a quiet flat but that's much less common than people in your situation/people with horrible flatmates
