Hi,I have been asked by my teacher to think of a theme for my GCSE art, anything that I would like to do, but I can't think of anything. He gave me a help guide but nothing stood out to me that I would like to do and when I think of things that interest me my mind goes blank. I also cannot find any artists.Would anyone be able to suggest any unique theme ideas and possibly some artists? Thank you so so much in advance ~Chloe

Look through previous years topics, which are found on the exam papers which I think you could access online. For example, identity? Or 'past, present and/or future' etc. Also try looking through youtube art sketchbooks, and look at their themes and which artists they had used for inspiration...

Thank you so much, I was actually thinking about identity because I could do so many things with it. But I couldn't find any work with artists attached?

You don't have to find any specific artists that link with the theme... Like for example you may find an artists that does portraits that hold a lot of emotion, you could still link that with your theme.
So like before you start searching for artists, make a brainstorm on the next page of your art journal, and see what you think links. I might say expressions, emotions, etc.... And then once you get these subtopics find artists that link to the sub topics, cos it is easier to find. Finally what you always need to do is write how and why you think this artist links to your topic/theme on your artist research page
    Hopefully this helps
