    I think my chances of acceptance are approximately 40%

    I basically want to put her in a very difficult position by making this a public thing.

    That way she is likely to say no because she doesn't want to embarrass me.

    Once I get a date with her, I think I have a great chance of sleeping with her.

    Is this acceptable?

    You'll find if a women wants to say no she will. Asking in public, even if she says yes, would just make you look sad.

    Ask face to face. Doing it over social media is always impersonal and a bad idea. Even more so this way.
