I am an A2 student. AS results were an absolute disappointment. I achieved a B in Eng Lit, and both Ds in Chemistry and Biology. This is coming from a "perfect" student. I know where I went wrong: my exam technique sucks. But I'm determined to make an improvement at A2. Should I give up on medicine or not?

Feel free to apply next year if you get AAA or better.

Hopefully you are right and it came down to exam technique. D is a bit low.

what did you get in your fourth AS?

If you resit, some unis say you need at least C at AS first time round regardless.

If you are in the year where the AS' don't count towards A2, you'll probably have to achieve your A2 grades and then apply since you won't get predicted high enough to get offers with D's.

Also, UCAS deadline is 15th october... this thread is a bit ... late?

Never say never. It's likely you'd probably have to take a gap year and see how things go with your A2, but talk to one of your teachers/tutors/whoever knows about these things at your college to see what would be the best thing to do.
