I feel too depressed to go to my lectures. The university services and my GP aren't helpful. What should I do?

Maybe talk it out with a friend and then visit a different counsellor?

Is there an NHS psychological wellbeing service in your county that you could self refer to?
If not, I would suggest going back to your GP surgery, but see a different doctor (which you are allowed to do) and get them to refer you for some talking therapy/counselling. They might be able to start you on some medication to if they think it would be helpful.
Don't be afraid to push for the support you need. I hope you feel better soon.

My little sister posted this video on her YouTube channel recently called 'depression @ uni' - she's struggling quite a bit and it's very relatable, hopefully it will help someone feel less alone
