How do I re-pay student loan if I fail university? Watch

    • Thread Starter

Hello, I am a Bulgarian student at UWE Bristol. I have a question regarding the re-payment of my student loan.

If I fail uni (let's say in 3rd year, due to failed exams), are the conditions for re-paying the loan the same as if I graduated? Will SLC still take a % of my month salary (assuming I have started working lower paid job after failing university and honestly state my earnings due to my course of life)?

What about savings? If I have savings in my Bulgarian bank account (not the UK one), can SLC take my savings for the repayment of my loan? Can I keep those savings for own purposes or they are immediately taken as a lump sum for the repayment of the loan? What if the savings are in my UK account? Same thing?

Thank you very much and appreciated.

If you weren't to graduate from your course you would still repay the loan in the same manner if you had graduated.

We do not take savings into consideration whether they be in Bulgarian or UK bank account.
