    Loughborough Employability Award
    The induction sessions are aimed at undergraduate students who are interested in finding out more about the Loughborough Employability Award and how to get started. (This session is not appropriate for finalists, postgraduate research students and staff.)

    Application Forms
    A presentation to explain the key parts of an application form, how to demonstrate your skills and abilities effectively and how to ensure your application makes it to the next stage of the recruitment process.
    Tuesday 11 October – 2.00pm-2.50pm – CC029a James France

    Careers in... Routes into Teaching
    This talk will give an overview into the different routes into teaching in the UK and will cover:
    • School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)
    • Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
    • School Direct
    • Teach First (you are advised to attend the Teach First talk on 3 November for further details on this organisation)
    Also a discussion on work experience needed, tips for further stages of the recruitment process including the personal statement (needed for UCAS).

    Please note, if you are applying for 2017 entry through UCAS you will need a personal statement. We advise you to book on the Writing a Personal Statement session on 18 October.

    How to present your skills and create a powerful CV and covering letter

    LinkedIn - Presentation
    This presentation will cover the resources available to help with your LinkedIn profile, the LinkedIn Alumni tool, and how to network effectively on LinkedIn
    Thursday 13 October – 11.00am-11.50am – U007 Brockington

    Employer Tests
    This workshop will show you how to make effective use of 'Graduates First' and other resources in preparing for employer tests. You will take a test online and be guided through your results and feedback.
