I'm in my third year of college (I've been holding off from going to uni and leaving college for three whole years). I feel as though I have been pressured into making the decision to go to uni by my college and I'm now debating (one week before the internal UCAS deadline) whether I should take a gap year before heading off to uni. I know that I want to help people in a nursing or school environment (I'm particularly interested in SEN and sexual health) but I don't think I'm ready for uni just yet.
I'd like to hear from people that have taken gap years and then gone on to uni. Is it difficult to re-apply? Did you feel prepared enough to go after your gap year? etc.

Knowing when you're not ready for it and won't get the most out of it shows great maturity and self-knowledge, IMHO
