    Hello,

    * I was just wondering- how long must a prospective independent (over 25) student from England/Wales/Northern Ireland live in Scotland in order to receive SAAS funding?*

    I am considering moving to Scotland in February and might also apply for a Uni course up there starting September 2017. *

    I am Scottish but brought up in England and my parents live in England and I previously had Student Loans from Student Finance England to study in Edinburgh although I didn't complete my degree (continued until 'Diploma of Higher Education' level but became very ill).*

    Would I be eligible to apply for SAAS funding or would I need to be resident for several years?

    * Thanks! *

    I could be wrong, but I THINK people from elsewhere in the UK arre ineligible for SAAS. I also think they always work based on 3 years residency (and issue Im currently enjoying).
