Difficulty in verbally describing things

I have difficulty in verbally describing things even to people i know intimately. It has nothing to do academically as I obtained an A* in English but i struggle to describe more complicated stuff such as recalling a film i watched and trying to make it sounds enthusiastic. Consequently, i cant, or very rarely can make witty jokes and it has affected me socially.

Can anyone help as to what is wrong with me or what i can do to improve this

It's possible you have a mild learning disability actually. Things like ADHD, dyslexia, autism etc can affect how your memory and thought process work. It's very possible to have them in a mild way that doesn't affect you too noticably and also possible for them to only start being a noticable issue later in life. You might like to have a read up on them to see if any sound plausible and either see a doctor or look at advice online.

Some people can just be nervouse and distracted in conversation so that might apply to you.

A therapist may actually be able to help you get to the bottom of the cause and work on improving it, especially if you find your issues spanning over a few things socially.
