Hi, My firm choice is university of edinburgh, i noticed on their website it said that they would not be accepting clearing this year. Assuming that they have already looked at the scottish highers results which have already been sent out, as well as the a-level results which are to be released by Ucas in a few days; results of which i am currently waiting on.
I also seen that for clearing on the ucas website only scottish universities have been listed as of yet, i assume this due to the early release of scottish highers. Does the 'no clearing' mean that they have made their decision; as they cant initially choose more people for a degree course than there are degree courses available to be accepted , in other words does this mean my position is technically confirmed/accepted.
Even though some students may possibly be slightly below the requirements, would they be likely to accept them anyway rather than the bother of going to clearing?
