    Hi everyone!
Thought id make a thread for anyone applying to Queens University Belfast for entry in 2017. Im applying. Ive lived in Belfast all my life and would be happy to answer any questions about what its like to live here. I also know a bit about QUB's admissions just because it is one of my choices. Feel free to ask away and good luck with your applications

QUB's also one of my choices! Not sure if it's ranked in order of preferences, though. I thought I'd give it a shot because of the conversion of GCSEs and UKCAT into points.

    IGCSEs: 7A* 2A
    IB Predicted Grades: 42/45
    UKCAT: 633.3 Avg (1900 SJT Band 3 :/)

If I calculated correctly, I got a score of 38/42. QUB's 2016 entry threshold was 37/42 or 36/42 (If AS Levels were included). Considering the 2017 UKCAT national score fell this year, I think the threshold would be lowered a bit. What are the chances that I'll get an interview offer from QUB? I really want to pursue medicine there

    Hi Emir!
I have 41 points on QUB's allocation system, so I think i will hopefully get an interview. You are above the threshold for last year, so why not apply? If you dont mind me asking, what are your other choices?

Ahaha yeah I decided to apply anyway. I called QUB yesterday and they did say 38 was in the higher level of competitive scores.

I applied to Nottingham, Liverpool and Bristol as well.
