Can Book titles get copyrighted?

    • Thread Starter

So if you want to publish a book but realise that another book has the same title to yours, could you get I trouble for copyright?
    I have this problem now,
Say my story was called She Grew a flower and the main character is called Rose
Then I find this another book also called She Grew a flower and the main character is also called Rose but the stories are totally difference and the similarties end there could I still get into trouble due to copyright?
Ps my title is relevent to my story, the story I found was a bit random and misleading.

You can't copyright a book title.

You can't trademark it either unless they appear in a series.

Depends how rich and powerful you are. You could pull some strings and influence the law in your favour. Otherwise, no - as above.
Which party will you be voting for in the General Election 2017?
