Life is getting worse

Wasn't sure if TSR was the best place to post this, but I should say as a 23 yo M, my life truly sucks. I wasted 4 years on a degree and a year on an internship which got me nowhere and now I am broke, unemployed, stuck at home with my mother, feeling unattractive and depressed. My degree was very specialised in a branch of healthcare which leaves me with little options to pursue a career outside the field. I felt that I was forced to complete my degree course due to family pressures as I contemplated dropping out far too many times. During my internship I felt my energy and motivation drop rapidly to continue in this line of work and as a result my performance also declined. I just want to start afresh but couldn't afford to go back to education. Any advice, help or tips? I have an idea of what I would enjoy doing but my lack of experience in the field makes it far too difficult to reach my goals.

I do not know you and you are being very coy about what you want to do.

You are only 23 - you have your life in front of you. I am guessing you live away from London and possibly asian......

Move to London - grab life by the balls - it just takes a bit of initiative. *I would give my eye teeth to be where you are now*

    Hi,

you are right about the London and Asian thing, how do you suggest I move to London?, I am broke and jobless. A move to the city would render me homeless!

A job is not going to come to you. Look on the internet.

I would suggest that you look for any job - you can always change later. There is always bar work, coffee shops, retail.

Look on Spareroom.com for a room - even if just for the short term.

Once you are there you can source a proper job - try NHSJOBs.

Maybe look at becoming a sales rep for a pharmaceutical company - good pay, travel, company car. If you have experience in the healthcare industry they will lap you up.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself - NOW!*
