combined/joint honors personal statement? Watch

    • Thread Starter

    ok so I need help
I am applying for History and Spanish. I have written my PS but its nearly at 5000 characters. the problem is I havnt really even gone into detail about Spanish and history, there is just not enough room to talk in detail about both. this is such an issue especially with combined honors. I have wrote one paragraph for each subject, both 12 lines long.
should I completely delete all my extra curricular info just to write some more about the subjects or will the university admissions team be understanding because of it being combined honors?
    any help/advice would be appreciated

Extra curriculars matter far less than academic stuff so you can completely lose them if needed. Your extra curriculars para should only be about 100 words with a focus on relevant transferable skills. The rest of your statement should be a roughly equal balance of your two subjects.

Hey, this is not a direct answer to what you wrote but I have a similar problem, I am applying to English Literature at three unis and to English and Media at two and at the moment I only have three lines about media in my Personal Statement... Do you think that's enough?
I'm a little concerned that if I write too much about Medias, the purely English Literature courses won't accept me.

And, about your question, I think delete a bit of the extra curricular info unless it's related to history or spanish and shows how interested you are in those subjects.
