Basically, a girl i knew when i was six posted a photo of herself and a dark-skinned girl on instagram. A friend of hers (who i don't know at all) commented on her picture saying, "who is tht *****??". They live in a country where they aren't educated about racism. I feel obliged to let her know that it's inappropriate but i have never had to deal with such stuff before. So I want to ask, should i say something to her, or is it that i am being an sjw and i should just mind my own business??

    I would just leave it.
But if you really want to say something, say it in a polite manner, don't go crazy at her as it will create loads of conflict.

Unless the girl who posted it is black herself you should say something about it.
In no way would that be an overreaction.

Yeah, the dark skinned girl isn't even African. And she (the perpetrator) is east-asian like me. Having, African friends myself and knowing that they find it very offensive, I feel obliged to say it. Alright, I'll try to be polite.
