    Hi everyone,

Basically, i've seen a lot of people talking about the 10th decile in the UKCAT. After looking at the final test stats, there is only a 9th decile, never a 10th? I just wondered what is meant by 10th decile?

    Thanks

Edit: I think there is some ambiguity about deciles. Sometimes 10th decile refers to the highest score, while other times it just means greater than 90% of people.

    I just found this online:

Refering to deciles: "For example, the 62nd percentile rank falls in the 7th decile rank (remember to add "1" to the tens column of the percentile rank to get the decile rank) (The first decile includes the first to 9.99th percentile, so that's why you add a "1" to the tens column to find the decile)"

This would mean that the tenth decile is only 100% and above (9th decile goes up to 99.9%), therefore only one person will ever been in the 10th decile!

UKCAT call anything above the 9th percentile in the 10th percentile
