Oxford medicine Watch

    I got 4 A*, 6A and 1 B in my GCSEs but I am predicted 4 A*s at A level, would my GCSEs hold me back when I apply Oxford?

    In short, I'm afraid they almost certainly would. You'd be better off applying elsewhere, as Oxford medicine applicants need roughly an 80% A* rate at GCSE, in order to stand a reasonable chance of getting called to interview :yes:

    I agree with the above - maybe Cambridge medicine could be an option as I believe they don't care about GCSEs nearly as much as they care about A Levels
