I'm studying BTEC Applied Science Extended Diploma, aiming to get D*D*D*. I have Biomedical Science as a course in mind to study at uni, but not sure which uni to go. I haven't been to many open days, just Aston since I live in Birmingham .

Any suggestions which open days are worth attending? And unis

You really have to do your research with this. Look at unis which offer the course. Go through entry requirements and course structures and then visit.

There are too many all with different course structures and styles to say which one is 'best'. You can look at rankings for employability and stuff sure, but you do need to just look at each course yourself and think about what you want from tuition style, course focus, module options and flexibility and where you want to go afterwards.

Firstly, research is key. It might be a struggle to get into top universities as they will not accept BTECs in some instances, check with universities first by emailing them. If you aim for top universities then have a look at UCL's Applied Medical Sciences degree that will take on students who have done BTECs, even Kings College London will depending on other factors.

The first question you should answer is what do you want to do after you graduate?
