I was wondering, if I signed up to the Royal Navy as Aircrew, but wanted to go into the Commando Helicopter Force, how would I do that? Would I do AACC?

Maybe you could say that to whoeveer runs the Royal Navy Aircrew. I'm sure that they would want you to do something you prefer than something you don't want to do. Good luck and don't shoot me if the advice doesn't work. :P

You don't have to pass the AACC to serve on a Commando Helicopter Squadron.

If you end up as a Junglie, it is possible to volunteer for the course, should you wish to. However, both the AACC and P-Company have reduced the number of non-core unit applicants over the last 10 years or so. This has been to deter people from 'badge collecting'.

    yep

CHF aircrew are not embedded into operational commando units like medics and variosu other trades

AACC and Parachute (regiment) training (delivered by the RAF in a greater part) are for those who have an operational for the skills ...

    this isn't the boy scouts
