What do you think is inteligence? How do we measure it? How come some people are more inteligent than others? Is it the human genome? Is it inherited? Is it based on education and social factors?

    Give me your opinion...

Experiments have shown that intelligence is based just 2% on genetic factors.

I think opinions will vary on many of the questions that you have asked. I also can't be bothered to write out mine.

What do you think is inteligence?

My opinion of intelligence is a knowledge of the world, and of emotions, and of a self (individually, and in relation to other people). Not how many facts you can memorise.

    How do we measure it?

Using the above as my defenition, I don't think it can be accurately measured. I can't, for example, tell, from spending time with another person, on any level, that I'm more or less self-aware than them.

How come some people are more inteligent than others? Is it the human genome? Is it inherited? Is it based on education and social factors?

I believe that it's not inherited; intelligence comes from experience of life. It's therefore based on social factors to some extent, and on our education. Yet as it's not what we learn, but what we have the capability to understand, a lot of it simply comes from our existance and day to day life.

    What is intelligence?
I think intelligence is a person's ability to comprehend and understand concepts.

    How do we measure it?
I think the best way to measure it is the rate at which a person can understand a new concept.

How come some people are more inteligent than others?
I don't think some people are more intelligent than others, infact I think that every human being has an infinite amount of intelligence as given enough time I think anybody could understand any concept given to them. Its just how quickly people can understand them that varies, and this is due to the quality of teaching, some genetics and upbringing.
