    Hi!
    I'm a swedish tudent from a small town applying for English literature with a minor in sociology at a UK uni. Since I like said, live in a small town it is very dificult for me to attend lectures and such but whilst doin research, I found a very interesting ted talk about the power of fiction which really furthered my interest in the subject. Do you think it is okay to mention a tedtalk in your personal statement as something that inspired you to want to study a subject or is it way to informal?

    I put one in mine for Oxford so I hope it's okay😂 If you explained why it was valuable in a sophisticated manner I don't see why it should be an issue ☺️!

    you can put it on, it'll show the admissions tutor that you've done wider reading but when you put it on your personal statement, show what you have learnt from it
