Maths M1 kinematics Watch

    Can someone please help me with this question:

    A particle starts from rest at point O on a straight line and moves with constant acceleration of 2m/s^2. Three seconds later a second particle starts from rest at O and moves along the same line with acceleration of 4m/s^2. Find when the second partilce will catch the first.


    Construct a suvat equation for each of the particles - the point at which the particles meet is when they have the same displacement.
