I'm just curious what happens at the end of first year, since I am around a 4 hour drive from home, I'd rather not have to move home again for the duration of summer with all my belongings (which is a lot) and then right before second year starts, move back to the unite students hall, it all seems very tedious if I'm forced to move out with all my stuff and then at the end of summer move back in with all of my belongings.

I did have a look at the Unite Students site and it does say that students can stay for second as well as third year at the Unite Student halls. Anyone here have any experience with this?

    Thanks!!

Hi Susan from Info Centre at the Uni here.
I have spoken with Student Housing and they have advised that you go to
Greatham Street Halls reception and ask directly for more information.
As fas as I have been advised you can apply to stay a 2nd year but the actual
halls flats are not available and it would be a private let in one of the Studios in
    Greatham Street.
I think you would therefore still need to move your belongings unless you were prepared to rent the studio through the summer.
