Modern Languages question Watch

The deadline for application is today for my school so might need a quick answer. I'm going to be applying for Russian Studies at UCL and also I'm thinking of applying for the Modern Languages course (both). My question is, would this be possible? Will UCL look less favorably because I've picked two separate courses from them?
The only reason that I want to apply for the Modern Languages course as well is to have the option to learn a new language from scratch (I wouldn't be able to do this with the Russian Studies course).
Will I also have to alter my personal statement to include some information about the willingness to learn a new language or something along those lines. If I have to alter it to this I'd rather not apply for the ML course because all my other unis are for Russian.

Any help about this would be appreciated!

It is possible to apply to two different degree programmes at UCL and no, they won't care or look less favourably on your application. You certainly will have to alter your PS if you want to have a chance of admission; they're unlikely to accept someone for Russian and German for example if you haven't mentioned German/Germany in your statement.
Is GoT overrated?
