Why both? fyi, chemeng has much more physics than chemistry (you'll have maybe 2 modules of chem)

It's quite difficult to tailor a personal statement to two different subjects, hence why the general advise is not to do so.

Ultimately, you are going to have to decide whether you want to do chemistry or chemical engineering. It's better to do this before you have to construct a PS. Look up both courses and professions and see what appeals to you the most.

What we are advising here is best practice rather than absolutes. It is entirely possible that some universities do not even read personal statements.

Your academics are more important than the PS for most universities.

What are your A-level predictions and target university requirements? If you are at their typical requirement then you are very likely to get an offer.

You can check offer rates at Which? University.
