I'm not sure whether or not it's something that I love her and what to be with her forever or a spur of the moment thing and I'm not sure how to tell.

Yes, I can see myself long term with her however I have doubts (but there again I am a half glass empty kinda guy).

She's different to my usual type but I trust her a lot and do half the same subjects at school with her as well as going to study similar things at uni.

Any advice on what I should do? How do I know if this is true love and not just a spur of the moment thingy because I've been single for a long time??

That's the thing, you don't know if it's 'love' or not at this stage because it isn't. It could be in the future but for now you're just infatuated or not familiar enough to know what love is, which is fair enough.

A helpful indicator is when you have multiple female friends and you're not attracted to them all, but just that one in particular... because it's easy to like a girl if there aren't many in your life. Not saying that that's true in your case but it's something to think about. I'm guilty of liking people in those situations.

Find out more about her, spend proper time with her and see what happens.

The fact that you took time out of your day to make a forum post out of it? You probably do like her. Big sign
