'Waiting' and 'Can't wait' Watch

    • Thread Starter

I have made a description of depression:
Depression is when you're waiting not to do things.
Happiness is when you can't wait to do things.

    A distinguished psychiatrist commented:
"I was impressed by your inspirational use of the metaphors...valuable insights."

    A renowned psychologist thought:
"I certainly think that you capture one important component of depression -
It comes with a lot of inertia and 'waiting'.

And the expression 'can't wait' (to mean excited) is interesting in itself - happiness often comes with a desire to get on with the next thing."
