    Delete their number and social media as hard as it seems right now you're actually doing yourself a favour in your healing process. Delete that ish be strong, in a couple weeks or months you'll feel ok.

    the thing is he insists the wants to remain friends and all that. we also have a concert booked together in december that we are going to so removing him seems silly to me i just want to know how to stop messaging him

    because i end up in the same cycle of begging him to take me back. its destructive. it ****s me up so badly and he ends up getting so irritated at me aswell.

    Before doing anything significant, have you gotten closure?
    From past experiences its worth doing so before moving on - otherwise it'll come back to bite you in future IMO
