Cambridge GEM A level chemistry requirement *PLEASE HELP*

Hi there,

It is stated on the Cambridge GEM profile than an A level in chemistry must have been completed within the past 7 years. Does anyone know if this is an absolute requirement?

Mine was completed 10 years ago, though I gained a first-class degree in 2015.

I'm also unsure if a grade A in chemistry is essential for GEM at Cambridge. The details on the college websites lead me to believe this is essential. I emailed a few admissions people but no reply yet.

Best to call them ASAP.

Thanks, I received a reply if anyone also needs to know this information.

If you have done A level chemistry outside of the last 7 years then you need to resit all the exams (unless your degree covered the topics again). I did a physics degree so I didn't cover organic chemistry. For that reason I won't be applying.
